The forecast was a sunny, breezy but cold day I could have tried windsurfing at Levington or Alton but as it was a bit cool and my kit is in a muddle at the moment – only just getting my trailer back after being repaired :) (Many thanks Ray Tatum for doing a top job!!!) and we still can’t get get into our garage as the door is broken – new one this Thursday :) so we decided to take out our bikes. First though I walked down the front here in Felixstowe to watch the moving Remembrance service on the seafront then we packed a flask of homemade soup and headed for the bird reserve at Trimley marshes via Felixstowe docks to check out where Mag will be working in an office for the next 4 weeks!!! We had the reserve all to ourselves and had our picnic in the last bird hide watching the birds on the winter flood :) The highlight was lots of shoveler ducks!!! We made it all the way back to the beach at Felixstowe before Mag realised she had left her bike hat in the bird hide!!! So we went home got in the van and drove back to Trimley where Mag biked down to get her hat !!! So a lovely bright sunny Autumn day :)
